The White Pine Outdoor Bonsai Tree Features Long, Brilliant Needles

Several different bonsai trees feature long pine like needles, but few of them have as long or as tightly clustered needles as the Eastern White Pine bonsai. This outdoor bonsai tree features needles clustered in groups of five along almost all of its branches. They have an interesting, feathery look that would seem to feel very soft when touched (they are actually quite stiff, however). These golden green needles tend to create a rounded canopy that covers almost all of the bonsai’s branches. During the winter, these needles look exceptional against the white snow. The White Pine is a very hardy bonsai tree, and it needs to remain outdoors all year around.

The White Pine has several different interesting facts about it, but there are many interesting facts about all types of bonsai. For example, bonsai need to be watered very frequently. This is because their root systems are quite small and cannot hold a lot of water at once. Bonsai are also best appreciated when viewed up close, too, which is why they are often arranged in sheltered little courtyards, on balconies, or on patios. These locations also help protect your outdoor bonsai trees from the sun, the wind, and the rain. Bonsai are very vulnerable to the weather, after all, even those that need to be grown outdoors.
